20 Time #1 -Calligraphy
Today I learned there are four basic rules of calligraphy: angles, grip, stability, and direction. According to the article, I must master all four before I can accelerate at calligraphy. Grip and stability is pretty straightforward. The big deal with angles is to keep the flat edge of the pen at a 45° angle to the base line (_). That might require practice. The pens are made to only go down and to the right when “drawing.” On letters like “s,” one must draw two line that connect in order to not render the pen useless. These are the basic building blocks that I plan on perfecting throughout the semester.
