The Art of Shadows

The Art of Photography with Shadows -

Today I did some research on how to best incorporate shadows in a picture.  I found some interesting things about how you can enhance your pictures with shadows.  Photography is known as the art of capturing light, and the counterpart of light is a shadow.  The tricking part of taking the picture without washing out the highlights or turning the shadow into an unrecognizable black area.  Also, you may not be aware of the fact that the reason that we have 3D photos is due to shadows. Natural shadows in a picture creates a 3 dimensional effect, because a shadow makes the picture more appealing and interesting to the viewer, while bringing out the subject with light.  In the end shadows can add a much needed contrast to a picture.  I will use this research I found today to help me start taking basic pictures including shadows.
