20 Time #1 -Calligraphy
Today I learned there are four basic rules of calligraphy: angles, grip, stability, and direction. According to the article, I must master all four before I can accelerate at calligraphy. Grip and stability is pretty straightforward. The big deal with angles is to keep the flat edge of the pen at a 45° angle to the base line (_). That might require practice. The pens are made to only go down and to the right when “drawing.” On letters like “s,” one must draw two line that connect in order to not render the pen useless. These are the basic building blocks that I plan on perfecting throughout the semester.

My proposal and some of my research is complete for my project. I am working on my elevator pitch. My idea is to create one Instagram account and post daily pictures of negative, positive, and neutral things. At the end of it all I going to see which topic gets the most likes and average that. This will help me determine if there are more positive, negative, or neutral people on Instagram.

I began looking into WeVideo a bit more to get caught up on what I had forgotten. (I haven’t used it in a while.) But I looked around at the features and figured out a little more about the app and I think it will fit well for our project.
I couldn’t find any statistics to put in my elevator pitch because all the sites I looked at only gave me drills. I’ll have to go back and find drills later after I pitch my project so I bookmarked the sites I went to. My project is to have a faster bat speed before the start of summer, with help from my coaches and continuous drills.

20 Time: Learning Lefty!
Today, I started my research on ambidexterity. My project is to work on becoming ambidextrous, and strengthen my left hand in writing and everyday functions, since I am right handed. Ambidexterity, defined, is a person’s ability to use both hands at an equal level of skill. I learned that only 1% of people are truly considered ambidextrous. Hopefully with a lot of practice, I can be a part of that 1% someday! Also, I learned that there is a minor form of ambidexterity, which is called ambisinistral. It means that a person can use both hands, but only clumsily. True ambidexterity means that people can use their hands as equally well as they use their dominant hand. I plan to work on my left handed writing/drawing everyday, as well as doing simple things like eating and brushing my teeth in order to strengthen my left hand. I’m excited to see where this project takes me!

Together Rachael and I have come up with a very interesting designing for a board game incorporating food. We having many flowing ideas for the characteristics of the game and our design is quit solid at the moment. We are trying to include as many genres as possible.
I have used WeVideo before, but I was a bit rusty, so I had to brush up on it. I looked at the features, and tinkered around in the program. I plan to use this program for my project as it would be the perfect place to compile memories.
Smoothies!!!!
I found a website that will really help me, it’s Eating Well.. it’s a magazine and they have a lot of smoothies and on the bottom they have the nutritional value of each. I’m really excited to try all the new smoothies!!
Past the Point of No Return
Today I researched the basic makeup and physics of a black hole to fully understand the topic I will be presenting. I will probably open my project explaining the black hole so my audience can fully understand the topic too. The properties I researched will result in the main effects of the black hole on the hypothetical person entering it. This basic information will set me up for the rest of the project!

20 time #1
I learned that there are many ideas for trick shots in the video that would be good to use for our ideas. Trick shots are stunts performed when you throw or kick a ball from a far distance or by performing a shot in an abnormal way. I also learned that you can include other parts in videos where you add funny clips for people to laugh and be creative with the video.

Vocal Improvement
In order to improve in my vocal lessons, I HAVE to be self-aware. Also, If I work out, I can improve my air flow capacity, therefore helping my singing. Lastly, I learned that some people are just physically better built to sing. Knowing this, I am going to work on being self-aware and continue exercising everyday.
The Art of Shadows
The Art of Photography with Shadows -
Today I did some research on how to best incorporate shadows in a picture. I found some interesting things about how you can enhance your pictures with shadows. Photography is known as the art of capturing light, and the counterpart of light is a shadow. The tricking part of taking the picture without washing out the highlights or turning the shadow into an unrecognizable black area. Also, you may not be aware of the fact that the reason that we have 3D photos is due to shadows. Natural shadows in a picture creates a 3 dimensional effect, because a shadow makes the picture more appealing and interesting to the viewer, while bringing out the subject with light. In the end shadows can add a much needed contrast to a picture. I will use this research I found today to help me start taking basic pictures including shadows.
Healthy Substitutions
I learned that there are many substitutions for everyday ingredients that are healthier and nutritious. We also found simple steps that you can take to increase the nutritional and wellness.
20 Time #1
Today I learned about some trick shots that would be cool to try and perform. I also learned about a channel on YouTube that does nothing except trick shots. I can use some of the shots they perform in the videos in mine. Lastly I learned that a trick shot video can be very hard to make. I can take hundreds of tries to make one shot.
